Reviews
I recently went to NoHu to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was the best spot we could have chosen for this location. The ambiance was like no other, and the service was excellent. The mocktails were amazing. I especially loved the NoHu burger and Fries and the calamari was an excellent dish for all of us to share. All the food was 10/10. The view from the rooftop is amazing and a great place to take pics. They have fire pits outside for the colder months. All around an amazing experience.
TLDR: would come back, better than other places along the river & still not amazing Pros: - drinks & appetizers came quickly - good drinks - filling portions (thick pieces of salmon!!) - we were all eating within an hour! - loved the crushed potatoes - nice & attentive service - beautiful views - ample lighting where we were so we could see the menu & the food!! (some of the menues lit up like on a light table which was very cool) - they took a photo and we could have bought them for $20.... not bad if split between a group! and it came in with a frame Areas of Improvement - they kinda forgot one of our orders (?) - the chicken was a bit fattier than expected - The Caesar salad was diy? I had to ask for a seperate bowl to chop it myself ??? since lettuce boats was not the vibe... especially for $20+ - the table was incredibly wobbly, the place could benefit from a screwdriver There was an undisclosed $50 cake fee just to cut and plate it. If we knew, we would have just brought our own plates and did it ourselves lol
Ok let me start off by saying I am always very skeptical of hotel restaurants. I must say, NoHu absolutely challenged my thinking. I was staying in Weehawken for work and I was headed initially to another well known restaurant on the water. However, before leaving the hotel I asked the staff about the in-house restaurant, which they recommended as a very formidable alternative option. I opted for convenience and man am I glad that I did. NoHu did not disappoint. An amazing view whether you dine inside or outside in their igloos or on the large rooftop overlooking the NYC skyline. I was there on a perfectly clear night and great weather, which ultimately made it a no brainer to give this place a try. I pulled up to the bar and the bartender was welcoming and super informative as I asked questions about the menu. I opted for Shishito peppers to start (saw them on the menu and couldn't pass them up), which were fabulously seasoned, crisp and delicious. I then had the beet salad.... Great portion and one of the best beer salads I've ever had honestly. I opted for the churrasco steak for my main course, The steak was seasoned well, perfectly cooked and not overly priced. Great food, great venue and some of the best views you will find if you want to see the nyc skyline on the jersey side. Great place to come if you're staying at the hotel, out with friends or date night.
Great place to frequent in the warmer weather as the views are spectacular!! Food is great and staff were very friendly and attentive.
